Our Story

Lexi Lou began as a hobby in my apartment after my ex and I split up. I started creating faux flowers for weddings with a budget under $1500.

I partnered up with @abitofheavenweddings and collaborated with Eleanor on weddings.

In my first year, I booked 5 weddings, which was alright since it was just a hobby. During year two, we had 35 weddings, and in year three, the number increased to 75. We started growing rapidly. My sole focus was on weddings, but I also catered to special occasions like Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day.

In June 2022, I contacted Rachael from @thefoundry.minot after hearing about her moving. At the time, I was one of her messy makers and taught art classes in their old location’s coffee shop (currently our location). It’s crazy how you eventually make your way back home. ❤️

I asked if she had room for me; she said yes. In May 2023, I moved into the District on Central and outgrew the space within three months. We moved upstairs and outgrew that space too within a month. I had a tough decision to make. I had to choose leaving my full-time job and pursuing lexi lou full-time, which made me nervous and scared. In October 2023, we transitioned to full-time.
